The following constitutes the members of the 1st Battalion, 48th Highlanders of Canada who died on Active Service in the Second World War.  









  THIS LIST HAS BEEN COMPILED BY Art Johnson and Stan Scislowski, with assistance from Michael Dorosh. Please note that Regimental Numbers were not assigned to officers.  Every depot and unit had its own block of numbers to assign from and each Military District had its own letter prefix. Once a soldier enlisted and was assigned a number, that number stayed with him no matter which unit(s) he may have been reassigned to during the rest of his military career.
